Updating odbc driver

For details, see Creating a Channel if you are using Iguana 4.0 or later, or Configuring Channels if you are using an older version of Iguana. We have several own developed applications under Access and other 3rd Party Tools that connected to our Database Server via ODBC.The SQL Server-specific versions of the ODBC functions are implemented in the SQL Native Client ODBC driver. The driver passes SQL statements to SQL Server and returns the results of the statements to the application.Using this driver, you can read your Sage 50 Accounts data files using other software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Word.To be able to use your software with the ODBC driver, it must be ODBC compliant. The SQL Server Native Client... Data Access Components (WDAC), previously called Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC), is the more generic ODBC driver (sqlsrv32.dll).

I tend to the native Client because it seems to be patched with every SP an it is the newer one..

Search for it to make sure you download the latest release (new releases comes quite often).

The SQL Native Client ODBC driver complies with the Microsoft Win32 ODBC 3.51 specification.

These drivers provide backward compatibility with older software programs, allowing them to use newer database systems.
