He is survived by his loving family: wife, Ashley Ballou; “Bonus dad” to his two dear girls, Mylanah and Haevyn; mother, Linda Ballou; sisters and brothers-in-law, Terri and Doug Oatis and Angie and Jon Crim; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christy Ballou; many other dear relatives and friends also survive.He graduated from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, in 1979 and was a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).He has touched many lives and his beautiful soul will be deeply missed by everyone.We are very proud of you Zane and we love you so much. Hoke was born on December 1, 1935 in Marshall, Texas to Aubrey and Alice Smith (Shook). Hoke was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Alice Smith (Shook), sister Barbara Walker, and husband Thomas Madeley Hoke.

He was very handsome and was active in supporting and modeling for clothing brands.

During the summer of 2017, he completed an internship with Balfour Beatty Construction as a Project Engineer.

Zane was a very dedicated student who maintained an outstanding GPA and was well known among his professors for his record of attendance and participation.

A Memorial Service for longtime resident of Conroe, Virginia Agnes Smith Hoke, 82, will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10 am at First United Methodist Church in Conroe with the Rev. She passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Abundant Life Assisted Living. She is survived by her loving family: Daughter and son-in-law, Darlice and John Bridwell; Son and daughter-in-law, David and Michelle Hoke; Grandchildren, Sarah and Sam Hoke; Brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Estelle Shook; Nephew and niece-in-law, Andy and Yolanda Walker; Nephew and niece-in-law, James and Theresa Walker; Sister-in-law, Eulice Hoke Vial; and Niece, Laurie Vial Amsler.

Her nickname was “Honey.” She graduated from Stephen F. She had a successful and gratifying career as an educator for over 15 years. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Hoke enjoyed her sweet spirit and grateful attitude. Hoke was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who loved life and people. Memorial Service for John Robert Ballou of Spring, Texas will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at A. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with Bishop Clyde E. John was born on March 20, 1982 in Conroe, Texas to Calvin and Linda Ballou.
